MUSC Health Florence Medical Center is proud to announce Katlyn Baxter, DO, and Devanand Dominique, MD, have joined MUSC Health.

Dr. Katlyn Baxter is board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary and critical care joining MUSC Health – Pulmonology. She attended medical school at the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by an internal medicine residency and a fellowship in patient safety and quality improvement at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital. Additionally, she completed a pulmonary and critical care medicine fellowship at the Virginia Commonwealth University Health System.

Dr. Baxter specializes in treating a variety of pulmonary diseases such as interstitial lung disease, asthma, sarcoidosis, pleural diseases and COPD. Procedural interests include diagnostic bronchoscopy, including endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) and pleural effusion drainage (thoracentesis).

Dr. Devanand Dominique is a board-certified and fellowship-trained neurosurgeon at MUSC Health – Neurosurgery – Florence. He attended medical school at The Medical School, University College – Dublin. He completed his neurosurgery residency at Temple University Hospital. He then completed an enfolded fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery and neuro-oncology at, The Children’s Hospital – Boston, Harvard Medical School. Additionally, he also completed a fellowship in spinal surgery at The University of Toronto.

Dr. Dominique has over 20 years of experience as an academic and a private practice neurosurgeon. He is board-certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery (DABNS) and has fellowship status with the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (FAANS), and The Royal Society of Medicine (FRSM).
