A man has been taken to hospital after he was hit by a car on a busy Black Country Road. The man – believed to be in his 50s – was hit near to the BP garage on the Birmingham New Road.
Police were called to the scene, which is next to a McDonald’s restaurant, just before 4.30pm yesterday (April 22). The driver of the car is helping cops with their investigation and has not been arrested, police have said.
Officers have spoken to witnesses and seen images of the incident. A spokesperson for West Midlands Police told BlackCountryLive: “The driver of a car which hit a man on Birmingham New Road is helping with our investigation.
“He has not been arrested. We were called at 4.27pm on Friday April 22 to near the BP garage.”
They continued: “We’ve spoken to witnesses and have seen images of the incident. The man, believed to be in his 50s, was taken to hospital.”
