A main road is blocked in Birmingham due to a police incident in Kings Heath High Street. Bus services are disrupted in the area as public transport is being diverted away from the scene.
Motorists have been advised to allow more time for journeys while the road is shut in both directions. It’s understood the incident happened on the high street near to the junction with Station Road
National Express West Midlands posted on Twitter at 6.08pm: “Service disruption due to an incident on High Street #KingsHeath. [Bus] services 35 and 50 are diverted in both directions via: Addison Road, Brook Lane, Coldbath Road, Yardley Wood Road and Wake Green Road. Please allow more time for your journey.”
West Midlands Roads, part of Transport for West Midlands, posted: “Kings Heath High Street #KingsHeath. A police incident has occurred on this route near the junction of Station Road. The road is BLOCKED in both directions. @nxwestmidlands services 35 and 50 are operating diversion routes. Expect around 10 min delays.”
