When it comes to discussing traumatic events with your kids like this week’s Uvalde school shooting, Dr. Stephanie Jamison-Void, owner of Jamison Consultants, says keep it simple. “Have that one-on-one conversation with them. What are they feeling? What were they exposed to? And it’s just like with any other thing. You want to just communicate with them. Let them know that you’re there, “Jamison-Void said.
